Entrepreneur Emma Grede becomes King’s Trust Ambassador

British businesswoman, serial entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Emma Grede, has announced that she is becoming a King’s Trust Ambassador.

Emma, who was born in London but is now based in the USA, recently visited the charity whilst in the UK, meeting young female entrepreneurs who were supported by The King’s Trust to start up in business.

Speaking on a video on her social media about the announcement, Emma says:

Since I was a kid growing up in East London, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact The King’s Trust has had on young people growing up in our communities.

Not long ago, I had the privilege of visiting The King’s Trust and meeting some of the amazing young people they support.

That’s why I’m so proud to now be an Ambassador for The King’s Trust.

Emma is also backing The Trust’s campaign with the London Standard, “Destination Unknown” which is raising money for its work in London. The campaign highlights the unique challenges of young Londoners, with youth unemployment in London higher than the national average.

Speaking about the campaign, Emma says:

Too many young people leave school without direction, without support, and without belief in themselves. I know the difference that support can make. When I was starting out, having people who believed in me gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward.  That’s why this work matters so deeply to me.
